Therapy for pregnancy and postpartum

Hi!

I am Jolene (she/her), I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Provisional Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, although clients typically just call me their therapist.

My goal as your therapist is to help you lighten the mental and emotional load you’ve been carrying to get you feeling more like yourself and the person you want to be.  I meet clients exactly where they are, creating a safe space to begin the process of learning how to navigate it all.

I specialize in helping clients cope with the anxiety and stress connected to major life transitions as they navigate newfound roles and finding themselves in a new phase of life.  Specifically, I have a strong interest working with pregnant and postpartum women, veterans and athletes.

In my work I try to convey compassion, empathy and candid connection. I strive to build an authentic space for my work with clients. In the therapy space I find room for laughter and raw reactions, while also upholding a strong therapeutic relationship.  I want to help clients feel safe and supported while sitting with me in their journey.

Personally, music and animals are a big part of my life and they most likely will show up in our conversations! I like to provide structure when you leave a session, giving clients homework or tasks to try and use in their everyday life if it feels like this will be helpful to the therapeutic process. Outside of my work, I am an avid reader, passionate learner and am also navigating life as a new mother.

I am honored everyday that I get to do this work and have the privilege to walk with people and hear their life stories. If this glimpse into me and my work has called to you reach out via our contact page to get started today.
