WHAT IS THERAPY LIKE?

Therapy is simply a conversation between client and professional.  It is NOT like most of what you see on TV or in movies.  My first session with a client lasts an hour and we go through your hopes for therapy, current difficulties as well as any relevant personal or family history.  Subsequent sessions will be 45 minutes in duration and will be scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on your presenting issues and scheduling needs.  Prior to your first session you will be asked to log into my client portal and submit information that will help us get started.

Do you take my insurance?

At this time, I do not participate with insurance panels.  Payment is accepted in cash, check, credit card, flexible spending account cards, or health savings account cards and is due at the time of your appointment.  My current rates are $120 for the initial 60-minute session, and $90 for subsequent sessions lasting 45-minutes.  It may be possible to take advantage of your insurance company's Out-of-Network benefits.  After attending and paying for your session, I can provide you with a "Superbill"/receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.  To learn more about what your insurance company will reimburse, call the member services number on the back of your card.

do you only work with women and moms?

No.  Although my specialty is Maternal Mental Health, I have a diverse caseload of clients including men and women who are not mothers.

How do I get started?

Getting started is easy!  Check out my "Connect with mepage and either fill out the contact form or simply give me a call!  I do my best to return calls the same day if possible.
