Hello!

My name is Claire Currado, and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Most of my clients call me their therapist or counselor, and my role is to meet you exactly where you are as we begin this work together.

Many of the individuals I work with come to therapy looking for a steady, compassionate sounding board as they navigate new and unfamiliar chapters of life or begin processing difficult moments from their past. My hope is to offer a space where you can slow down, reflect, and examine the beliefs you hold about yourself, others, and the world—and decide which of those beliefs still serve you today.

My work with couples and families is focused on those who are feeling exhausted, unheard, or stuck in patterns that no longer work. In these relational spaces, my role is to serve as a mediator and facilitator, helping you lean into difficult conversations and learn new ways of communicating, managing conflict, and negotiating needs. I approach this work with the belief that change is possible when everyone in the room feels seen and supported.

My specialty areas include supporting clients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and major life transitions. I also work with couples and families who want to strengthen their connection, rebuild trust, or simply find healthier ways to show up for one another. My aim is to help you experience the relief, clarity, and steadiness you’ve been longing for. And I love working with premarital couples, who want to start their marriage out strong with these skills already in place.

As a therapist, I’m warm, reflective, and collaborative. I don’t believe therapy is something that happens to you, but rather something we do together. Outside the therapy room, I’m a cat lover and an aspiring plant lady always on the lookout for tips to keep my plants thriving. I love trying new food and always appreciate a good restaurant recommendation. I moved here from Tallahassee, Florida in 2019, and exploring the area has become one of my favorite parts of making this place feel like home.

I see my role as both a privilege and a responsibility, and my priority is to create a safe, grounded space where you can reconnect with yourself and move toward the life and relationships you want. If you feel we might be a good fit, I’d love to connect. You can reach me at 315-753-7693.
